Tobacco Awareness Program
The Tri Town Health Department has been granted funded through the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Tobacco Cessation and Prevention Program since 1994.
Our program consists of a wide variety of programs and services that include
- Inspections for compliance with youth access regulations
- Tobacco sales compliance checks
- Tobacco retailer trainings
- Assisting Boards of Health in the drafting and adoption of tobacco control regulations
- Responding to complaints concerning environmental tobacco smoke and assisting Boards of Health
- And education the community about the dangers of tobacco products and the effects of secondhand smoke
