James J. Wilusz, R.S. Director of Public Health/Registered Sanitarian
Jim was born and raised in Adams, MA and attended C.H. McCann Technical School. After high school he enlisted into active duty in the US Air Force. After serving 8 years active and reserve duty he returned back to his roots in the Berkshires. He began working at TTHD in 2003 serving as an intern and eventually being promoted to Senior Health Inspector.  In 2008 he left to become the City of Pittsfield’s Health Director until 2011 after long time serving Director Peter Kolodziej retired.

Jim has a Bachelor’s degree in Environment Science Summa cum laude and is pursuing a MPH degree. He holds dual licenses as a Registered Sanitarian/Registered Environmental Health Specialist as is a member of many health organizations. Most recently, he was selected by the Commissioner of Public Health to serve as the Berkshire County liaison on the State’s health and wellness leadership team. Jim lives in the City of Pittsfield and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Dr. James Leahey Animal Inspector (Lee and Lenox)
Dr. Leahey became the Animal Inspector in 2010 after long serving as an active Board of Health member in Lee. Dr. Leahey has been a local veterinarian for many years and has remained active in the community on a wide variety of programs.

Michael Sullivan Animal Control Office (Lee and Lenox)
Michael joined the TTHD in 2010 as has been offering ACO duties in the towns of Lee and Lenox which include emergency calls, isolation and quarantined of animals and many other services.
