How to Reach Us
With the closing of the senior center, we will still be here to help you out!
In the midst of this coronavirus and the rippling effect it has, causing havoc, strain on family and friends and health advocacies , it is with extreme gratitude that we as a community are fighting back. Our Berkshire County community family has gone into protective mode and have been giving an outstanding support to our families and our seniors. Our Lee Senior Center has been in-dated with calls to help out. We have received calls to help with shopping, Abbotts Limo Service provides rides to Big Y and other essential places, Lee Elementary school is delivering breakfast and lunch and a local LENOX pizza plaza will donate pizza. Knights of Columbus will shop for you as well. All with just a phone call to place these services!
Call the Senior Center at 243-5545 Please check your neighbors and relay our message. And to ALL Volunteers– A heartful THANK YOU!
The Lee Senior Center is on the corner of Crossway and High Streets in Lee. As one enters Crossway St., the first door on your left is the entrance to the Senior Center. Although the Senior Center is located in the Elderly Housing, Crossway Village, it is available to all the elderly in Lee as well as the residents of the Village. Our rules consider anyone over 60 years of age to be a Senior citizen.
In the Center we have computers, a pool table, an organ, a piano, tables, and comfortable chairs. Puzzles are available as well as books to read. Lunches are also served at the Center. We encourage small groups who might like to play cards, knit, have a place to meet, chat or whatever to join us at the Center. We can assure you that you can not find a more comfortable and welcoming place.
The Council is committed to providing services and programs to community elders 60 and older. The many and varied services and provided by this office include transportation, nutrition meals and education, exercise programs, and social programs. Health clinics are offered through the Porchlight VNA/Home Care, and a state trained Health Insurance Counselor is available to help with Medical insurance assistance. The COA works with Elder Services of Berkshire County and networks with other organizations service to the elder community and their families. The Council operates with a Director, Secretary, transportation driver and Board along with volunteers to provide services to the community
