Join us for a memorable opening ceremony and ribbon cutting at our exhibit, proudly presented in partnership with the Lee Chamber of Commerce. We are honored to welcome distinguished guest speaker, 3rd Berkshire District Representative Leigh Davis, who will share inspiring insights on the history of democracy and its profound impact on our nation. Tuesday, June 10, 6:00pm: Community Conversation: “Collective Responsibility and Democratic Values: The Housatonic River Cleanup”
Join us at the exhibit for an engaging community conversation facilitated by Town Administrator, Chris Brittain, and members of the PCB Advisory Committee. The plan for General Electric (GE) to create a landfill in Lee for the waste from the Housatonic River cleanup has raised significant issues within our community. We invite residents of all knowledge levels about the proposed dump to participate. Democracy thrives when community members actively engage in discussions and decisions that affect their lives. Given the importance of the cleanup and landfill proposals, it's crucial that the voices of Lee's residents are heard and considered. Please note that the conversation will be limited to 20 participants.
Wednesday, June 18, 6:00pm-8:00pm: Freedom’s Echo: Celebrating Juneteenth

Sunday, June 29, 2:00pm: Liberty Libations: America's 249th Birthday Pub Crawl
Beginning at the exhibit in the Lee Premium Outlets, join us for a pub crawl celebrating America's 249th birthday! We'll explore the role of citizen participation, resilience, unity, and leadership throughout American history. After enjoying the exhibit, we'll make our way to Lee's charming downtown area, where we'll support local businesses while continuing the celebration. All participants will receive a "pub crawl passport." Each stop on the pub crawl will offer a patriotic beverage and trivia questions about America's journey to independence, with bonus questions on the exhibit itself.
