Free Ice Skating Lessons

The Lee Youth Commission is offering free pop-up ice skating lessons this winter at the public ice-skating rink located at the Lee Athletic Field. Lessons are being generously led by Joe Terzigni, a skating/hockey coach who lives in Lee.
The first pop-up lesson is scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 4 to 5 pm. This class is intended for beginner skaters, ages 7 and up, who live in Lee or who are Lee School District or St. Mary's students. This event will be limited to eight skaters.
If you have skates for your children, please bring them. The Lee Youth Commission has a range of ice skates that are available to loan out for free; the Lee Youth Commission cannot guarantee that all sizing will always match children's feet well.
Pre-registration is required. Register now here.
All beginner skaters are required to wear a helmet, knee and elbow pads, and appropriate cold weather gear during their lessons. If you do not have helmets and pads and cannot get these items before the lesson, indicate that on the registration form and a representative of the Lee Youth Commission will email you back in advance of the event to let you know if there is extra equipment available.
An adult must stay at the rink with your skaters for the duration of the lesson.
