Solar Ready Roof Zones
State Building Code now requires Solar Ready Roof Zones for some new construction

The 9th Edition of 780 CMR, the Massachusetts State Building Code became effective January 2nd, 2018. With the adoption of the 9th Edition it is now required that a "Solar Ready Zone" be provided on construction of new detached one and two-family dwellings and townhouses as well as for new low rise commercial buildings and additions less than four stories above grade.
