Lee Community Gardens

Garden

A local non-profit founded in November 2020,
LCG is dedicated to addressing food insecurity for
both people and pollinators through community
participation. There are currently two gardens,
the first behind Saint Mary’s church on Academy
St. called the Lee Downtown Community Garden.
Harvests are distributed to Crossways Senior
Center and Hyde Place. The second garden is at
Brown Memorial Court on Marble St. and run by
resident volunteers. The mission is to create more
gardens in Lee’s public and private spaces, to
beautify, educate and provide even more food for
people and pollinators.
