Select Board Creates New PCB Advisory Committee

Town of Lee Select Board PCB Advisory Committee

Mission:  To advise the select board and town administrator on decisions related to PCB dredging, transport, monitoring, storage and disposal.  In addition, the committee may provide recommendations to select board for the use of settlement fund monies.

Committee Tasks:

1. Regular attendance at open meetings

2. Working with the town’s environmental consultant to develop independent testing and monitoring procedures.

3. Review responses/comments to EPA/GE Permits

4. Provide advice on the use of settlement funds

 

Membership: The committee will be comprised of 7 select board appointed members preferably with following backgrounds:

1. Scientists/Engineers (at least 2 from this category)

2. Legal Experts

3. Public Health/Medical Experts

4. Financial Experts

5. Member at large

6. PR/Communications

Ex Officio Membership: Town Administrator, Select Board
