New FREE Extracurricular Activities in Lee

The Lee Youth Commission is excited to announce two FREE extracurricular classes that are starting in March. Both classes are exclusively for children who live in Lee or attend school in Lee.
A six-session Comics and Zines Class will be taught by art educator Joey Chernila at the Lee Library on Monday afternoons from 4:15 to 5:30 pm, from March 3, 2025 to April 7, 2025. This class is open to children ages 7 to 12.
A five-session Sewing Class will be taught by sewing educator Jeanne Chivers, generously hosted by the Pumpkin Patch Quilt Shop at 43 Main Street in Lee on Tuesday afternoons from 3:45 to 5:15 pm on March 18, March 25, April 8, April 15, and April 29, 2025 (no class on April 1 or April 22). This class is open to children ages 9 to 18. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to operate a sewing machine and create their very own pillowcase and tote bag.
Both classes require pre-registration and spots are limited. Once at capacity, the Lee Youth Commission will form a waiting list in case spots open up.
