IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR RESIDENTS OF LEE-PLEASE READ!!

 

Please fill out and sign the Town Annual Street Listing and mail back to the Town Clerk as soon as possible.  Please make sure everyone who lives in your household is listed on the form (ESPECIALLY CHILDREN) with date of birth and if male or female.

The Town Census is critical in getting grants and aid for the Town as well as determining how many teachers and buses are needed.  Please send it back as soon as possible after receiving it.

Please have your son, daughter or spouse sign the street listing if you are removing them from your census sheet. I cannot remove them without their signature. If you have their new address in Town, please include that. If they moved out of Town, please let me know that.

 

April 1st dog licenses are due.  You will need to bring in the current rabies paperwork from your vet.  If done by mail the above is still required.  Male or female is $15.00 and neutered or spayed is $10.00. Late fee after April 10th.The late fee is $5.00 in addition to the total for your dog. Checks made payable to Town of Lee.  Mail to: Town Clerk at 32 Main St. Lee.  **Please send a self addressed, stamped envelope with your request.

 

The Special and Annual Town Meeting is May 10, 2012, and is held at the Lee Middle and High School Auditorium.  The Meeting starts at 7:00 PM.

The Annual Town Election is May 14, 2012.  Polls are open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM.  The Election is held at 21 Crossway, Crossway Village Gym (Old Central School gym). Please bring a picture ID in case you are asked to produce an ID.

**If you are not sure if you are registered to vote, please check with the Clerk.**

The next election will be the Presidential Primary March 13, 2012. Town election May 14, 2012. State Primary in Sept. 2012 and the State election Nov. 6th, 2012.

 

Underground storage permits are due April 1st.

 

**Hunting and fishing licenses will no longer be sold in the Clerk’s office.  You may go online at www.mass.gov/masswildlife, go to Wal-Mart or if you do not have a computer, you may use the one in the Lee Library to purchase your license.**

 

Business Certificates are renewable every 4 years from date of issue.  Please check your certificate to see if you need to file a renewal. Please notify the Town Clerk if you no longer have a business.
