Some residents will be receiving the Federal Census which should be filled out and mailed back to the address listed. Both the Town and Federal Census’ are critical in getting grants and aid for the Town as well as determining how many teachers and buses are needed. Please send them out as soon as possible after receiving them. April 1st: Dog licenses are due. You will need to bring in the current rabies paperwork from your vet. If done by mail the above is still required. Male or female is $15.00 and neutered or spayed is $10.00. Checks made payable to Town of Lee. Mail to: Town Clerk at 32 Main St. Lee. April 1st: Underground storage permits are due . May 13: The Special and Annual Town Meeting is May 13, 2010, and is held at the Lee Middle and High School Auditorium. The Meeting starts at 7:00 PM. May 17: The Annual Town Election is May 17, 2010. Polls are open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Please bring a picture ID in case you are coded to produce an ID because you registered to vote by mail. Check your voter registration. If you have moved in the last year, haven't voted in awhile, been married and have a name change etc. please call the Town Clerk's office at 413-243-5505 to check the status of your registration. Easier to get this done before the election than the day of the election. Location for all voting: 21 Crossway, Crossway Village Gym (former Central School Gym). If you make a mistake when marking your ballot, go to the Town Clerk and get another ballot to mark. Give the spoiled ballot to the Clerk. You can receive up to 2 replacement ballots if you make a mistake. Ask for help if it is your first time voting, if you make a mistake, have a disability, have any questions-ask the Town Clerk or Warden. Many of the poll workers can also assist you. Please, do not be afraid to ask for help-that is what we are there for, to make sure the voter will be able to cast their ballot. Hunting and fishing licenses are now available at the Clerk’s office as well as archery stamps, black powder stamps and waterfowl stamps. Business Certificates are renewable every 4 years from date of issue. Please check your certificate to see if you need to file a renewal.
