Welcome to Lee Townhall

BOARD OF SELECTMEN
MINUTES OF MEETING – OCTOBER 18, 2006

Present: Ch. Patricia D. Carlino, Gordon D. Bailey, Board of Selectmen, Frank A. Consolati, absent
Ch. Carlino called the meeting to order at 8:05 AM.

The Board met to approve the warrant for the up-coming special town meeting to be held on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at 7 PM at the Middle/High School auditorium. They voted, unanimously, to approve the warrant.

Next, David Parker, Information Technology Instructor, came before the Board to discuss purchasing software for the town collector. He said that the current package she has will not support the next billing cycle. There were six responses for prices and four were acceptable. The number one choices were Sumaria of Danvers, MA in the amount of $28,540.00 and Vadar of Maynard, MA in the amount of $37,797.00.. Two towns in Berkshire County use the Samaria system, Lenox and Stockbridge, and they are both very satisfied with its performance. Mr. Parker stated that a decision on the complete package is at least two weeks away pending a demonstration of a town/school payroll integration by the vendors. The Board voted, unanimously, to support the Sumaria software package.

Meeting adjourned at 8:25 PM.

Respectfully submitted,

Suzanne M. Alderman, Selectmen’s Secretary
